Meet Our Staff
Julietta Wenzel, PT
Julietta is a 1991 graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has extensive experience in the treatment of neurological conditions such as brain injury, stroke, cerebral palsy, and multiple sclerosis, as well chronic pain. Regardless of diagnosis, she always assesses the whole person and utilizes both traditional physical therapy techniques and alternative methods to create wellness and balance in the entire body. Some of the methods she uses include manual therapy techniques from Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, and Visceral Manipulation, as well as NKT and various modalities including Micro-Current Point Stimulation (MPS) and laser. Therasuit, MEDEK, Redcord, and Quantum Reflex Integration are her preferred methods for treating neurologic patients. Julietta is also an instructor of MPS.
Todd James, PT
Todd is a 2001 graduate from NOVA Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. His primary focus has been in the treatment of the neurologic and orthopedic patient, and has included pediatric, adult and geriatric populations. He uses a variety of manual therapy techniques to improve and restore his patients level of function through one on one personalized treatment plans. Todd is an active member of the APTA and holds certifications through the ACSM and NSCA.
Staisha Grosch, PTA
Staisha is a graduate of Keiser University’s PTA program. She has experience working with neurological conditions as well as orthopedic and sports injury patients. She is a student of the Upledger Institute and uses Craniosacral Therapy in conjunction with neuro reeducation such as NKT and Pilates. Staisha has an extensive movement background which includes ballet, Pilates, yoga, gyrotonics, and Olympic weight lifting. She was a professional ballet dancer from the age of fifteen and danced with San Francisco Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet and Oregon Ballet Theatre. She is a certified Polestar practitioner of Pilates for rehabilitation and a member of the Pilates Method Alliance in addition to being a certified instructor of Ashtanga yoga.
Ivan Cusin, PTA
In 2009 Ivan spent 6 months assisting the therapists at Ocean Therapy Center. During that time he gained extensive knowledge and hands on experience with the patients treated at OTC. It was also during this time that he was inspired to apply to PTA schools in Florida and pursue a career in physical therapy. Ivan graduated from the Broward College PTA program in 2014 and is excited to finally be practicing at OTC as a licensed PTA. In addition to years of experience with neurological conditions, Ivan has also worked with orthopedic and sports injury patients and is well versed in the many techniques used to treat patients at OTC.
Laine Miller, PTA
Laine graduated with honors from Broward College PTA program in 1990. She has since practiced in South Florida for 25 years gaining experience with a variety of caseloads including neurological, sports injury, surgical and orthopedic patients. She has earned the designation of MPP (Master Pain Practitioner) with Acumed Medical and has been an Instructor for both introductory and advanced level instruction of MPS technique for the past 12 years. She has co-authored several instructional texts as well as course manuals. She has been instrumental in developing new MPS protocols and enjoys integrating theories of Eastern Medicine with traditional PT techniques. She is excited to be a part of Ocean Therapy’s Team of talent and looks forward to applying her passion to helping our patients exceed their expectations in therapy.
Sara Carey O’Malley, Speech Therapist
Sara received her master of science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2000. The main focus of her work has been in the evaluation and treatment of neurological conditions such as stroke, brain injury, Parkinson’s disease and Cerebral Palsy. Specific areas of treatment include: voice and speech production, language therapy, swallowing treatment including use of the Vital Stim method, development of communication skills, and development of alternative means of communication. Sara is an active member of ASHA through which she holds her Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC). Additionally she holds her current Florida license and is a certified Vital Stim provider.
Mary is the Office Manager at Ocean Therapy Center. With 20 years of administrative experience, Mary brings compassion and dedication to her service assisting you with any questions or concerns regarding scheduling, billing and information about your treatment needs. Her other vital responsibilities consist of marketing initiatives, quality assurance, insurance verification, coding, contractual reviews, accounts receivable and patient collections. Mary also brings a special healing quality to the clinic as a certified Reiki Practioner.
Boris is a certified Therapy Dog and a graduate of the TOP dog program. He has been a therapy dog with the Share-A-Pet Organization for three years. Boris visits skilled nursing facilities every weekend with his human, Staisha, who is also a Therapist at Ocean Therapy Center. His favorite activities include: rolling, snuggling, napping, eating bananas, giving kisses, and making people smile. He is very excited to be one of the newest members on staff at OTC and is prepared to help with any of your therapeutic needs.
